I personally disagree with the "brand dilution" theory. It's all in personal opinion and taste. I've seen the top-fish in person and like it. I've never seen the yacht in person but from the pics it looks to be one hell of a boat as does this new 49'. To me, that's not diluting the brand, it's improving on it. And if it helps keep Cigarette in business, selling boats and fills voids in the market, as long as it's quality product, I don't see a problem. It's not taking away from the mystique or re-sale of anyones Top Gun, Cafe Racer, Bullet, Playboy, etc. etc.

They also did a nice job with the treatment of the swim platform. First class all the way.

The engine room is well thought out also.

I would likr to see a little more of a raise in the deck instead of a taller windshiled, to me that looks a little more cig and apache, but I really want to see the whole profile of the boat before I pass judgement. seems to be good comp so far to the 50 nortech( which I dig lots Terry )...

What's really Sad is that If you go to the Cigarette Web Site there is no mention of this new boat anywhere. There most recent press release dates back to July of 2005!!!!! I guess Skip has not heard that the World Wide Web is a great place to promote new products and his web site needs to be kept current.... I hope this is not a reflection on how he runs the rest of his company. If Someone from Cigarette reads this thread.... Fix the site.... A brand like Cigarette deserves MUCH better than that......
