Are you sure? The 850 and 1075 boats are half stagger to my knowledge. And if they use the NXT tranny behind a 850 or 1075 I wouldn’t trust that for a second. |

the bell housing on a 700/ NXT is much like a bravo and allows the rear engine to be mounted further back, the transmission on the rear engine is actually in the transom assy, thus the ability for a full stagger |

i know that, I owned a 700/NXT boat. That is why I’m saying the 700/NXT 39’s are full stagger but the 850/1075 #6 39’s cannot fit a full stagger and are therefor built as short stagger boats. |

They will not fit in the boat. Needs a hatch re-design but my understanding is Skip will not re-design it. Fine with me, only going to drive the 39 $$ amount up on the boats that are 700SCI boats.

I spoke with an application engineer at Mercury and he doesn't understand why 860's wouldn't accommodate a full stagger, he did however acknowledge that the 860's are taller and that the hatch might need a redesign.

860’s are too wide with the headers is what I was told |
Id have to imagine if somebody wanted one with 860's bad enough they could do it, just not in a full stagger, like the 2 39's they made with 1100's.
