24 Fire Fox headed to Lip-Ship

Colin disclosed it to me in a PM, so I will let him tell it if he so desires. I can tell you this much, my Firefox is supercharged and it will only go 82mph in a 2 ft wind chop. So, I was impressed with Colin's Firefox speed. My speed suffers from the parasitic loss of the rotating mass in the Huber trans and the #3SSM.
Also let me add that neither of these Firefox's are flyweight, potatoe chip hulls. They are real heavy duty Old School 24 degree Offshore V bottoms. Quality!

Doc,
Its around 600hp and i think might be a tad less. If you look at the early pictures on the thread you'll see we cut out the transom, stringers, floor and teak and replaced everything with new material.
The boat had a borg warrner trans and TRS drive which we eleminated and went with the Bravo XR ITS Sportmaster so that was a couple hundres pounds. Also i have the trans/drive if anyone wants to buy?
We also virtually blue printed the bottom.
But i'm still impressed with the speed we are seeing and Phil hasn't tried anything else yet.
FYI to eveyone the new MYCO was suuposed to be delivered today.
Also here's 2 pic's of the new cockpit cover going on.

I've followed this project from the beginning and all I can saw is WOW! That has got to be one of the most awesome Cigarettes I have ever seen and the story behind it makes it even better. Of all the Cigarette models the 24 FireFox has always been one of my favorites and if I had one you can bet your @$$ I would have Phil work his magic on mine as well. I really hope you enjoy that hot rod you've had Phil and his crew build as much as I have enjoyed watching and reading about it on this thread. I have one question to all of the folks who read this... Does Cigarette still have the molds for this boat and if not who does?

I am so impressed and with the lakes I boat on a bullet is about as big as I would go. So this thing on my lake would be perfect.
Another observation I have made is the interest this thing has had. I dont care if you like cigs or not this thing is a work of beauty. Even my wife who could give a sh** can see it. She is a work of art.
Got a name yet?
When are you going for a ride?

So why the top secret speed numbers?
Cmon, I don't think anyone cares if it's 70 on gps or 75 or 80. We know it's a kickin old school straight bottom hull.
This thread can't be complete without numbers (and video!)
It's like watching a musclecar build-up without seeing what she'll run in the quarter.
Don't leave us hanging!
