I've been on a couple of them. Friends of ours are on their 3rd Manta Ray due to "flight complications."
They ARE dangerous. You have to use them smart and in-moderation. I view them like the Lawn-Darts and 3-Wheelers which used to be popular years ago, but the government basically ran them out of business. MANY people have been hurt and/or killed on "kite-tubes" as they are generalized here in the US, and accordingly many bodies of water, local law jurisdictions, and the government have banned/outlawed them.
