What happened to Mr. Cigarette"

The triple engine 42 Revolution that Randy Scism previously owned in the late 90's?

BLee 01-07-2008 10:21 AM

Tripped and stuffed a wave on the victory lap in Japan (won the race). I'm not sure it ever raced again.

No clue where the original 42 Revo "Mr Cigarette" is but Lip Ship just finished a 38 Top Gun all done in the same colors. Sorry no pics, my camera died.

Anyone been to Phil's recently and got pics of the Mr Cigarette remake?

Here's the original

That happened right before Randy purchased it. He converted the boat to a triple bravo setup after the boat was wrecked and used it as his pleasure boat at LOTO for several seasons .
I know it was in Florida for a while after he owned it because a customer of Peter's purchased the boat and put a monster stereo in it. Regards...

Ahhh, thanks Tony! I wonder if it's still around, especially in the same paint?

I remember it popping up for sale a few years ago. http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...t=mr+cigarette

wstultz 01-08-2008 01:49 PM

Well t-bone it looks like I was wrong.

I do still have the video of that on DVD. Nasty hook.

CIG3 01-08-2008 02:18 PM

Could you post the video. I had a copy and someone borrowed it and never returned it.

I doubled it and sharpened but it is getting funky if you go any bigger...

Tomtbone,
I know that boat very well. It was the brochure boat and originally owned by Alan Warner I believe. The attention to detail on that boat was top notch in its day. The question is do you know what "I FOOH" means..?? LOL
Regards,
Tony

How does that boat disappear? I'm surprised no one knows its current location.

Mr. Cigarette is in Toronto in a warehouse. I know the boat is for sale and the owner will consider any offers. It hasn't been in the water for a couple of years. Call Offshore Obsession for any information 905-639-6667:D

thisistank 01-10-2008 11:03 AM

Anyone has questions about that boats history, call Craig Barrie. He raced it.

Supprised no ones mentioned the new 39 built to look exactly like it!

omerta one 01-10-2008 01:25 PM

Wait wait wait.....just wait a damn second here...........

Are you telling me that the 39 painted to match Mr Cigarette, (a former Champion race boat) is being powered with 496's................?

WTF

Biggus 01-10-2008 03:38 PM

I was told it was built for a wealthy kid from away, a prince or something. :party-smiley-004:

It's a 38 TG, side by side.

Who's got the pics?

I saw it at Phils but didn't take any photos. It's just as horrid as the original. Doubly so because it's a new 39!

:Whatever:

Have you even seen the original "Mr. Cigarette" in person?

pm203 01-10-2008 04:45 PM

I have seen it as well and cannot say it would be my first choice. I also heard that the cockpit was even more controversial.

Am I missing something? I didn't think it was that bad. I actually liked it. To each his own I guess.

Correct, it is a 38/side by side. And yes, built for a wealthy out of country customer.

Dont take offense...But would I need to see a Revolution painted baby blue and bubble gum pink in person to have the opinion its horrid looking? Is seeing it in person going to change those facts!? I think not. Excuse my opinion though:Whatever:

And yes, I think the new 38 color scheme is just as horrid.....And yes (Brandon) it has 496's in it.
