Default Who knows about this Mistress?

Seems like a pretty good price for the boat. Looks like it is in good shape. I am waiting on a call from the broker to ask about it.

Any body got any info?

I seem to recall this boat becoming a heated topic a few months ago. Let me see if I can find the link.

Disclaimer - I know nothing about the boat in question. That thread just discusses that boat.

That is what I am finding out. Man, why, why, why, does it cost so much to buy a damn boat?

I am going back to aluminum Jon Boats.

Run.

That boat surfaces every few months and should have a sticky thread warning people of its past. I feel sorry for the poor bastid that ends up with it.

True. True, True.

You also forgot the stress of having a good day, but knowing that there is something in there that is going to break.

I keep hearing about this boat though I don't know the specifics of it's "issues". My question is, how bad can it be? It's running and it floats so it's not a total loss.

Transoms wet? That's fixable and not even a huge deal.
Stringers wet, damaged, broken, etc.? Fixable
power/drivetrain screwed? Fixable.
cosmetics? Fixable.
Boat sank? Not a death cert. Doesn't mean its waisted. There's plenty of boats that have sunk and are still running strong.

So at the right price anything can be fixed, no?

Just got off the phone with the Broker and he says and I quote.

"just some minor things needed to be fixed", "it was done by a profesional"' " and "I would be more than happy to email you the contact info of the guy that fixed it"

Havn't seen the email yet.

Also "did you see this bad info posted on OSO?"?

..." Those guys are just blowing this out of proportion and they really don't know what they are talking about".

Should be interesting to see what he sends.

I am in some agreement that if the price was cheap enough that it wouldn't matter what had happened to it, especially if the repairs could be documented.

Stiil think you can find a better deal on something else , Not worth what you'll have in it by the time your done redoing the repairs the right way
