Default 08 TG w/ 496's?

http://lipship.com/preowned/preowned_fr.html

After that drama filled thread got locked I looked at lipship.com to see what he is turning out lately and spotted the pink TG with 496's.

Anyone know the deal on this boat?

It is a tribute to the 42 Evolution "Mr. Cigarette".

Here is a thread on it from a few days ago:

There are only two Mercury engines that are easily exported with EU/European certification; 496HOs and HP662SCi. My guess is that this boat is a first boat for someone overseas, and the next one will be different.

Phil told me it was custom ordered by the son of a very wealthy man. The kid was a big Don Aronow/Cigarette history fan. Phil recreated a Mr Cigarette version for him but the boy must have got out of line or something. I don't know.

Maybe he was "Taken out to the woodshed" and stripped of his new Cigarette for getting out of line!

Shoulda named this one Mrs. Cigarette .... ( not to be confused with "Miss Cigarette" )

Actually , I kinda like the retro/nostalgia/re-do idea on this one ..... just through some 600's in there , or some Zuls.

Boat was custom ordered like Kurt said with that power. Phil has a set of bigger motors sitting next to it if someone wants to upgrade.

Boat ran just under 80 with the 496's (78-79 I believe).

The dad that ordered it for the son wanted it to run under 80 for whatever reason (insurance/Euro specs, etc).
