For the record, salesmen (Phil included) make a set commission. Doesn't matter if he's selling a boat for 4k or 4 million. Now, he does have the option to lower his commission, like he was willing to do with the Finish Line boat for you.

Im referring to the 39 600 boat... Phil has it listed, at the owners wish... that is their business as some owners dont want to mess with selling.. This is in no way a personal attack on Phil, (or any other broker) he has a very loyal following & I respect that. ALL im saying is I would buy the boat NOW for what the owner would take.

The owner of the 39 that you've been trying to steal is a good friend of mine. Phil has made him your low ball offer of $250,000. There is no fire sale and that is way below current market value for any 39' Top-Gun Unlimited with 525 or 600 engine package. This boat is super clean and very low hours. It has to be in excellent condition for YOU to want this boat so badly. Phil told us you examined the boat for hours in his showroom. Phil made my friend your offer with no deposit, my friend called your bluff and told Phil that he would take the $250,000 in his pocket bottom bottom price. Phil told you the exact numbers and also agreed to a half commission (5%). You wanted service work and other repairs done. Phil then agreed to do it at his cost, about $3,000. Your total was $265,000 (less than 5% commission) Phil does a great job of maintaining and taking care of his boats and customers. He has sold many boats for me and my friend. He has sold me and my friend many boats and always been a man of his word. He answers his own phone whenever and always has an answer to whatever problem we may have. This boat that you want is not just a brokered boat, it is in Phil's showroom being stored by Lip-Ship at no charge. The guy has to make a living. How do you know how much money he made selling the boat new? And what kind of work was done at Phil's shop before delivery was made to customer?
If you are really serious about buying a boat when you make an offer you need a deposit. If you would like to talk direct to me or my friend send me a private message.

I agree 100%... Phil does half to make a living.. I offered him 5k clear for his part.. Also I told Phil all I would give BEFORE i Flew to see the boat..
As far as repairs that are needed they should be taken care of by the owner, not on my or Phils dime.
On the deposit I could have wrote him a check while I was standing their.. whats the point, Phils knows I was a serious buyer.
AGAIN im not taking ANYTHING away from Phil, his Boats & customer service are second to none, & have the utmost respect for him.
All I did was present a opportunity to sell the boat no more less.. IF your friend dont want to sell the boat thats all good..
Anyway my offer still stands.. I do like the boat.
