My guess why your boat has not sold is your location. The typical Top Gun buyer is on the east coast. If someone is interested, they've got to fly out and then there's the transportaion issue if purchased. It can ad close to 5k to the price. If you really want it gone, I'd suggest talking with Phil @ Lip Ship. From the pics, it looks clean enough to be worthy of his showroom and I could not imagine it lasting more than a month if it was located in South Florida.
I don't think financing is a problem at all. Key Bank will lend the $$ as long as the credit score can support the purchase. Good luck, looks like a nice buy for someone! Kurt I'm not so sure about the east coast theory. If you remember, the Lucky Strikes couldn't sell their trs top gun and had to send it to the west coast to get rid of it!!!! I just think that it's a bad time to be selling a boat unless you have to unload it. Use the boat for the season and try again next year. I think that I remember Grimmy posting that he had paid cash for the boat....so he doesn't have to worry about payments!!! |

It's a bad time but when this last came up I commented I sold a 1993 for mid 70's last fall and I guaranty it was as clean or clener than this boat, had bravo's with full hydraulic, updated gauges, bezels, GPS speedo, new cig windscreen, interior was 5 years old, brand new marine machine shifters & throttles, only thing this boat has is fresher power, which can be a benifit if done right but I am always skeptical of "fresh" power because that means many many things.
Your comming into the strong selling season so you got that going for you and there are a lot of boats, cig or not, in that price range. Your not wayyyy over priced but if it were mine I'd say mid 60's as an ask and low 60s to high 50's for a sale price. Hydraulic steering $5-6K Windscreen $1500 New gauges $ 3K Good luck it only takes 1 buyer. If you look in the classifieds there are a lot of boats that have been in there a year or more. |
