Default step pad under bolsters

My boat has the angled step pads under the bolsters for your feet, but the guy who owned the boat before me put diamond plating over them, (looked real ghetto)..... so i took it off today and it looks like he had to take something else off to fit the diamond plate on,

does anyone know what those steps should look like or have a pic

Most have a piece of carpet snapped to them, the newer modles have a combination of rubber with a cigarette logo that is a billet insert. I had the emblem cit out of a piece of carpet and laid over the color vinyl underneath

isnt there some osrt of smoothed or finished look under the carpet? Like a small panel or something that screws on?

not on mine, there was a piece of rubber that was recessed in the center part and carpet on top of that

yeah - mine has a recessed rubber pad with circles as the texture.
