Top speed of your Gun?
 

Whats the top speed of your Top gun and is it twin step, single step, or non step. Also, what is the engines and horsepower.

Mine is a non step gun ran 78mph last week on gps. I was happy with it considering it is a 1989 and very heavy. We have been playing around with different props, with the original props, 76mph.

I've got two dart blocks 620hp each.

How are the Stellings working out for you?

I just got my new ones and had a heart attack when I paid for them. $6,700 a side and another $3k for my tail pipes. Add another 5 bills for exhaust flanges and gaskets, well you do the math. Prices have gone nuts lately.

I found the tail pipe brackets if you still need them?

2008 39TG 700Sci / NXT = 103.75 GPS (2 steps)

Good stuff. Just curious, what do you think a non step hull, say carbon fibre or kevlar would do with the above power package?

My TG is a 1998 Kevlar, straight hull, around 850hp, Imco 2" shorter lowers, 1.36 gear, 30 pitch lab props. Runs 94mph on GPS.

A Kevlar cig full cabin will run 85ish with that power depending on how tuned in it is.

Prolly have to repair 1 or 2 pcs. One complete set looks good. Getting there,just gonna throw the tails you gave me for now with the muff tips after polishing thm up a bit ;)

Hey Chris,
IMCO or Stellings could easily fix the dents in those tail pipes (providing you want to run w/o mufflers). They just need to cut the outer skin off at the transom and slip a new 4-1/2" skin in its place. Weld out both sides, polish, and its as good as new. They do that kind of stuff all the time.

My TG , straight , kevlar hull , 2 x 450 hp , @ 5000 rpm it's about 55 knts

Mine is 02 Top Gun Stepped hull 500EFI does 82 mph

Straight bottom / full cabin / naturally aspirated 231 cu in V6 motors gets me 34 mph.

1995 Kevlar full cabin with 500HPs . 70 most everyday , 72 GPS on the perfect day on fresh water . Sounds like the stepped hulls get an extra 10 .

08 525's step hull full cabin with a/c and 4 batteries 85 stock 30 bravo 1's on the garmin and 95 on the tattle tale the more drinks i have i gravitate to the tattle tale. i am playing with a set of 32's they are blowing out and slipping at wot will repost when i get them dialed in. I am having hell getting any pictures to upload!

ran 87.2 with the 32's with some added cup and partially labbed bravo's never really could air it out due to where i was running may have a little more there I think 88.

1984 38' flatdeck, full interior,straight bottom w/10" notch, running 1100hp PSI supercharged BBC side-by side. #5 drives on Stellings box's w/3" spacers in the drives and full of fuel, 260 gal. 102mph on GPS.

'97 straight hull-modified 502 mpi's at 540 HP-labbed 26 bravo's-72 all day-74 with light fuel on GPS at 5400.

Just leave the boat in Sydney with me for when you visit, tell the missus you sold it and VIOLA, you can get your new gun. :evilb::evilb:
