cigracing1 07-09-2008 09:14 AM

Yes, keep it and send it to Lip-Ship. The 24 Fire Fox will be at the run next year.

Wild 07-09-2008 09:20 AM

I am so friggin busy i dont have time to do what i want to do with it. If no one wants to buy it i will try to start on it in sept. I just dont want it to take 2 years to get done, so i thought that someelse may want to have it

cigracing1 07-09-2008 09:25 AM

Philly can have it ready for you next season all you have to is send it to him and then send him money when he wants.

I actually really want to build a 20' but i'm thinking 38TG next.

htf did i miss that???

do you think she needs a restoration?
can it be ran as is? looks great!

VetteLT193 07-11-2008 07:45 AM

If the price was a bit better I'd unload my updated and restored Donzi Minx for it. Don't take me the wrong way either, I'm not saying it is a bad price by any means... just bad for my wallet

It is an awesome looking boat, I can't say I'd update it. Totally classic.

On another note, Does it fit in a standard garage at an angle?

It does not need anything right now but a new steering wheel, its wood and i get splinters in my hand everytime i drive it :D

If someone is going to keep it original it is perect, all the orignal hardware is there and all the gauges work. only missing one small pice of teak, and i have a new piece, just need to cut it.

Stormrider 07-13-2008 08:25 PM

i think its classic 70s and cool as chit!

And before that it was in California, and before that it was in Washington state.

BLee 11-24-2008 11:47 AM

Interesting that all these people "claiming" to want 20's aren't calling on this boat. Any of these POS $4-5k paper weights out there are going to require MUCH more coin to just get them to the condition of Wilds boat, much less to modern specs.

Whats the big deal over 20 ft cigs. you couldn't hardly give them away when they new. They are just a little boat. Yes buy it and send it Philly, if you have that kind of money, then there will be two happy people, you and especially Phil.

You're right, they were also expensive as hell compared to what you could get at the time for the same money......kind of like the Mystique/Vice. Most of the 20's were made to order boats built for fun, or as yacht tenders, etc, since they have no cabin or creature comforts. They have the same charm as the little Donzi's, only the Cigarette's are less common. It's probably a good example of a "cult following", but being a lifelong Cigarette fan, I personally had to have one if the right one presented itself, and sho nuff it did. :ernaehrung004:

Yes they are just a little boat, but they are wicked bad fun to drive and to customize as well. Kind of like saying a chopper is just a long motorcycle. They are also of a finite quantity now.

Because its a Cig! Either you are in or you are out. Looks like you are out.

wildhorses 02-07-2009 04:31 PM

Poor me, well now that I'm out ,I guess I'll just take my top gun and run with the dry cows. For you boys up north that's an old cowboy saying.

pm203 02-07-2009 04:38 PM

Well, if you have a Topgun, you are in! Why didn't you say so? And can you elaborate a little on the "cow thing"?
