Bottom line is that with $75K in hand, you can't have this boat
PM203 thank you for adding some common sense. if I put the boat on the market it will be closer to 97k boat is turn key |
No problem. Just because the market is soft and there is alot of junk for sale, everybody assumes they can steal everything. A real boat, like yours , with the updates and in exceptional condition warrants more $$.
That's the fact Jack!! |
So whats the top speed?
|
to be honest with you , I dont know.
we usually cruise around 3500 to 3800 rpms the old motors topped out at 68mph ( 420 mercs ) 5200rpm, running 24 pitch props ( light load ) My mechanic is the only one that ever did wot when he installed the new power last year, I think max rpms was around 5500 to 5700, but he did not have the gps on. |

Best looking straight bottom for sale right now. At 97K you will probably own it next spring but if someone offers you between the low of 75 and your asking price you ought to seriously consider the offer because it is still a 14 year old boat in a slow economy.
It is a great looking boat, but other people that need to sell set the market. Further, most that can afford this boat and the upkeep, etc, would probably jump up the bit to a T/S. I just wish I could afford this and the operating costs, not just one or the other. |

So what if I had 750 hp per side?
Or better yet what will it take to get it up to 80? Legitimate 700 HP engines with Bravos would push that boat to 80......but not for long.:ernaehrung004: |

I would have to disagree. Other mediocre boats that are distress sales have very little impact on a boat of this caliber. And, most people looking for a boat like this are stretching their budget already and cannot afford the extra coin for a T/S. This boat is a great looking boat for under $100K. It gives you a $300K look for under $100K. And,...needs nothing.
P.S. Or, you could buy a average boat for 60-75K and spend another 20-25K to make it almost as nice. However, if you'd prefer drop "only" a 100, but can swing a T/S, I'd think they'd just up it to a T/S somebody has to sell and will deal on. Just comes down to who's shopping at the time. But I still think the "distressed sales" are bringing down the whole market, like it or not. You don't have to match them, but you can't price it like it was a year ago either. You can either lower the price to sell, or hold out and hope the guy who is willing to pay for exactly what you have comes along. |
Yes, but when you have an exceptional boat with the right look, you have a much better shot of selling . You might have to wait a bit, you might have to weed through the countless bottom feeders, but in the end, you will get that one individual who knows what he is buying and will step up and pay top dollar to own a turn-key boat that looks and runs like a new boat.

Have we heard from comp what he wants yet? Others are throwing out 75K and I compared it to a fountain at 97K. But I am still waiting for the owner to set the price.

Also no one said the beaker would sell for $97K, that's what the owner is asking for it. The 93 lipship boat that just sold I assume sold for somewhere around $100K asking price so proof that a clean up to date Cig will bring money in that range. I said the boat wouldn't last long at that price assuming it's as clean as the pics look and the interior and cabin are mint. Why not call Phil he sells more than anyone and built the boat he should be able to tell you what the market is. Me, I'd start at $95K, some better pics and work from there, I think the real value of the boat to be high $80's to low $90K range. |

This is a good thread to follow if Comp lists the boat for sale on OSO and elsewhere and follows up with an after-sale post. Most Cig owners stick with Cig so you've gotten lots of exposure to help with the sale. Good Luck!

I really dont see any deals compared to what I paid for my last 2 Topguns in 03 and 06. They were both in this price range.
