TG Hatch Lifts
Has anyone had one of these gas spring lifts last more than a year
|
Mine lasted until last year. 2002 boat
Good thing i was in Miami so just walked over to Phil's and got a new set. |
one set of mine lasted a month. needing to replace again. maybe i need to open hatches more & let the nitrogen move around. :p
|
i think they make them in stainless ! if you use the steel ones you better make sure your drain hole is always clear.

Why would you buy another one if they only last a year?
Trash that junk and put in some hyrdaulic ones. |
checlk out McMaster Carr. Look under Gas Springs.

Phil, what's the problem with them? They aren't holding the hatches up anymore or they're corroding?
I replaced mine with some I got from Lip-Ship a couple years ago. They've worked perfect for the past two seasons. The ones I replaced were the originals. The port side still held the starboard side was very weak. |
