Here's Mine:
http://www.offshoreonly.com/gallery/...hp?photo=17360
http://www.offshoreonly.com/gallery/...hp?photo=17361
a 1974 Cigarette 28 Standard named "Sneaky Pete II" (Open Model was called the Standard)

Power: Twin GM 292 cubic inch inline 6's, Gen II Alpha's.
A DIY power combo replacing the MerCruiser 165's and old school #1 drives.

Story: My Father bought it in 1977. I took my first ride in it when I was 6 DAYS old, in summer of '79. Updated and repowered in 2000. Mine since 2005.

Not too big, not too small. Lots of seating and floorspace. Safe, secure, and economical. Family and Historical significance. 100% Cigarette style. I love my boat!

Is that your old boat? Do you know who did all the restoration work? I'm having a tough time finding anyone who has done that kind of work around my area.

Yeah that's Blee's old Cig. Doller Offshore did all the work, and now I enjoy it. :D

damdonzi 11-14-2008 09:03 AM

Still miss mine. Was a crazy project for sure.

http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/g...oso-built.html

It is or sale if anyone is interested I can put you in contact with the current owner, or open up any recent issue of Powerboat magazine.

You sure do. I couldn't have sold it to a guy that uses it more! Still the best sounding boat I've had.

Yep, the restore is credited to Doller Offshore and a little help from Cigarette. Not a single part didn't get replaced with new that I can remember. :ernaehrung004:

Sydwayz 11-14-2008 10:23 AM

Lucky Strike had one too. I think there is an old pic of Steve towing it with an Eldorado.

I have a couple laying around. I'll get them posted. The boat is still here in Ohio. Been trying to buy it back for a year or so.

I had a '73 OS with "Crayola" paint. I loved that boat and sold it just when I got all the bugs worked out of it!

I can't post pics here anymore but there are a bunch of them on OSO somewhere. :D

I'd like to find out more about your restoration, but I see your not set up for PM's or email. What engines did you choose? Total cost? Anything you may have done different? Trying to get a handle on what its going to take to fix up my apache before I dive in with my blinders on.
