The main thing that sucks about the center steer Cig's, is being in that right seat when it's time to dock. It's a BIG jump to get over that seatback, and about the same trying to get out of the boat from the starboard side.

That person also has to climb on the dash/gauges/windscreen to access the deck, which can lead to MANY unfortunate things happening (to the dash OR themselves) if they are in a hurry to catch the boat in some wind. The driver cannot be expected to move out of the way every time that passenger needs something, and having to open & close that cabin door 10 times to use the stairs, WITH people going in and out of the cabin gets old quick.

Neat idea otherwise, just more work around the marina.

I wonder if it would be an easy work-around for a potential buyer to install a dual helm set-up with a lever like the OL's have... Then you could also have the center driver do the throttles with his/her right hand which most of us are accustomed to!

I'm thinking the same thing but couldn't tell if it was capped off of if that was the 2nd helm pod???

Either way, I wouldn't let it stop me from buying the boat if I liked it and if I were serious I may even ask the dealer to throw it in for free to close the deal.
