customryder, so Bill's is over your price limit. That's certainly understandable. But what about the rebuilds you will be looking at very soon...if not now? Gotta factor that in. And this is just my opinion, which means nothing because it's your decision. Beautiful boat for sure! But the interior is hideous. Think about leaning into those dark blue bolsters after a short time in the hot sun. :eek: |

Also -575SCi's have issues with the intake water passage as well as the themostat housing. I have found those problems when rebuilding mine and I believe I cured the potential for more problems. |

Joey Griffin (my engine builder) suggested Edelbrock aluminum marine heads and a full rebuild on the one motor that ate water. Really woke the engine up - with stock pully: 668 HP and with 3.5" pully: over 700HP and ridiculous amount of torque. I'll run stock pulley to save my drives. I havent even run the boat w/ new heads yet, so I have one engine w/ zero hours. The other - new uppers. Basically brand new motors with lots of HP. What I can't get an answer on - is why the heads corroded? I flush 1st with fresh water then w/Salt away within 10 minutes of running each and every time. Boat is NEVER left in the water. Some builders say it is Salt Away, others say the heads DO have this problem and is normal. EVERYTHING else on the motors show ZERO salt or ZERO corrosion. It is like my motors have been run in bathtub water. |
