I think I also know the boat. Is that Cignificant here on OSO?
If so, it's a sweet, well kept boat.

What drives? Bravo or TRS and you are going to be replacing them often on 700+hp and a heavy ass Cafe'.

525 SC's. I look at this boat if you want any info b4 ya call.

I don't think that'd do 85+ would it?:drink:

I've been thinking of that one, but the price is a bit rediculous compared to the ask of the others out there.

My Cafe has around 720HP/side w/Bravo XRs and shortys. With light fuel, good air, and some chop I'll get 80-85MPH (28 Bravo labbed props) depending how much pizza I ate that day...lol.

78-80MPH w/ lots of fuel and bad air/sticky water.

Bravo XRs are fine if you take care of them.

Testing the Bravos a couple years ago...lol.

I was thinking about switching to inward rotation on the props and putting boxes on to help carry the nose and get the slip down...but I may just sell it and buy something bigger...

Yeah, I don't think there is any way that boat at bayharborbaycity.com is going to hit 85 AND it's priced too high!

GLH 02-11-2009 11:01 PM

you need a lot of HP to get a Cafe to 85mph, and a lot of drives!

I looked at it this past winter b4 i found my cafe. Told it does 90. I passed on it also due to price. At that time I was told the from the broker not to make an offer of 60k. It is a CLEAN boat, well cared for and no expanse spared. NOT worth 60k. the seller may have different thoughts a year later now.
