Any 85+++MPH Bullets or Cafe's for sale???

Looking for a fast (85+) Bullet or Cafe....... does anybody know of any for sale????

Hollowpoint 02-06-2009 11:07 AM

My guess is to see that speed in either will take alot of horsepower, like 700-750? If it has Bravos on it, the boat may have an appetite for them.

Don't know of any Bullets for sale right now that are 85+, but I think there are a couple of Cafe's.

You may want to look at any Bullet or Cafe on the market with well built 540's and plan on some engine work to get the HP you'll need.

Sea-Dated 02-06-2009 02:40 PM

There are not many Bullet's or Cafe's that will do 85 let alone if any are for sale. If you are wanting speed, these are not going to be the right boat for you.

What he said - 85 is a tall order for a Cafe if it's not on a trailer.

BDiggity 02-06-2009 09:19 PM

mine does 85 all day long. whats up w/ your guys? :party-smiley-004:

birdog 02-07-2009 06:18 AM

My bullet had 650hp a side and ran 86mph....Probably could have tweaked a few more mph

How much boost were you making to get 86 out of that boat? Also what props did you have on it.

Thanks

There is a cafe here in virginia forsale that runs 86 i believe. 540' blower motors makin low 700's. boxes and shorties. allen smiths old one. i think the guy wants 60's for it. ive been on the boat. pretty badass

Hollowpoint 02-09-2009 01:52 PM

I think I also know the boat. Is that Cignificant here on OSO?
If so, it's a sweet, well kept boat.

What drives? Bravo or TRS and you are going to be replacing them often on 700+hp and a heavy ass Cafe'.

I don't think that'd do 85+ would it?:drink:

I've been thinking of that one, but the price is a bit rediculous compared to the ask of the others out there.

My Cafe has around 720HP/side w/Bravo XRs and shortys. With light fuel, good air, and some chop I'll get 80-85MPH (28 Bravo labbed props) depending how much pizza I ate that day...lol.

78-80MPH w/ lots of fuel and bad air/sticky water.

Bravo XRs are fine if you take care of them.

Testing the Bravos a couple years ago...lol.

I was thinking about switching to inward rotation on the props and putting boxes on to help carry the nose and get the slip down...but I may just sell it and buy something bigger...

Hollowpoint 02-09-2009 09:25 PM

Yeah, I don't think there is any way that boat at bayharborbaycity.com is going to hit 85 AND it's priced too high!

GLH 02-11-2009 11:01 PM

you need a lot of HP to get a Cafe to 85mph, and a lot of drives!

I looked at it this past winter b4 i found my cafe. Told it does 90. I passed on it also due to price. At that time I was told the from the broker not to make an offer of 60k. It is a CLEAN boat, well cared for and no expanse spared. NOT worth 60k. the seller may have different thoughts a year later now.
