Didn't his Tiger have the same paint as the Mystique that's for sale and he had the Cobra power in those too.

Is anyone else sick of people waiting for Cigs to be worth what lesser boats are worth so they can step up without spending the money. These people will be dreaming of owning a Cig for the rest of their lives. If they were as smart and serious as they say they are, they would man up, find the boat they want, work out a price that both the buyer and seller can agree on, and buy the boat. They would not spend season after season talking about how over priced they are.

Of course it is a lot easier and cheaper to sound like a bad ass on the internet without actually buying anything. :rolleyes:

No, actually Bob's boats always followed the same colors & design until the Rough Rider. The Gun & Tiger both had small power. The Gun had the original black 500 Bulldogs, and the Tiger had the last carbed blue 500hp's before they went to EFI. His RR has the biggest power he's had in his boats.

Amazingly, I found some pics on my PC of his Gun & Tiger he owned, lol. They were gorgeous boats:

I hope this wasn't directed at me, as I only became a real buyer this spring, and thought I WAS buying the last Mystique that just sold. I had been waiting on the first deal to see if it fell through as I was told it was held for him. It did, I responded I'm checking financing and still very interested (assuming I'd have a day or two given I waited weeks for the first deal), and it sold the next day with no response to me.:rolleyes:

So now I'm trying to find another Cig that fits my budget, and unfortunately the other Mystiques don't yet according to the sellers, but they have also been for sale for over a year indicating the value is probably below their ask (I'm not talking in general of all Cigs, but of the 2 Mystiques which certainly has more demand than supply).

If you notice on here, there's a very clear line drawn between those who say "too expensive" vs the "everyone's a tirekicker", and it comes down to who owns a Cig. I hope to be calling everyone a tirekicker by summer.:drink:

I'm very happy with my boat, but if I move up it would be a 30ft Cig. Its the perfect size for my lake. I enjoy the occasional "pucker" factor these size boats can give when the lake gets rough.

I don't have any plans right now......but maybe 10 years from now when they are worth $5K:D It really doesn't offer much more than what I've already got. I would venture to say that the apache probobly has a bigger and deeper engine bay and more headroom in the cabin. The biggest benefit would be the speed and aesthetics. Definitely a much faster boat and they seem to respond well with more power. No idea how they handle rough water.

I don't believe that Sea-Dated's post was directed at you....There are some others that seem to always be waiting for the bottom to fall out, or that every boat out there has something that isn't right.

Sea-Dated - I agree with you, but moreover I am just tired of ever ****ing thread in the Cig section turning out the same - A pissing match over what boats are worth, and how they aren't worth that much, and a comparison of one boat to another, and why a certain boat isn't worth "x" - That boat has horrible dash paint, I don't like XR's, it doesn't have Merc Power, it DOES have Merc Power, it has aqua green gauge bezel's and I prefer powder blue, a light bulb was out in the cabin, 4 years ago it was run in brackish water for an afternoon, the previous owner is a GM guy and I like Fords - every thread deteriorates into this ****, with the underlying theme that our boats aren't worth anything.

Hopefully when summer comes we will have better stuff to talk about, and everyone will have found the perfect boat at the absolute lowest price.

I am sure by then my ****ty Cafe Racer will have depreciated to a market value of about 10k but who cares - I will have used it and enjoyed it.....
