Default Fuel pump set up

I upgraded my power over the winter. Now running blown 750's w/carbs. I'd like to know what kind of pump and regulator set up you guys use in this application. I'm thinking I need to step up to electric pumps with a bypass regulator. Aeromotive A1000's ?

yup, and make sure you have a really good fuel preasure gauge x2 as well. not just the one's mounted off of the carbs but one you can glance at on your dash every 30 seconds=) good luck.

Go with the Aeromotive.
Im just running a mild 509. But no problems for 3 seasons with the pump and bypass regulator.

I called Aeromotive today and they said the same thing. A1000 marine pump with a bypass reg. AN-10 line from the tank to the filter to the pump to the water seperator to the regulator. AN -6 from the reg to the carbs. 1800.00 plus plumbing....ouch

Thanks all for the responce

I never had any probs with the holly blacks 140gph on a similar setup. Much cheaper than aeromotive.

Yes its expensive with all the fittings. Don't forget a check valve after the pump if you mount it up higher, I put mine about 2 to 3 feet higher then the tank. I mounted the pump on a rubber pad to lower the vibration down a little.
I think its -8 for the return if I remember correctly to. You can save a fitting or two by screwing the filter right into the pump then the check valve on the out side of the pump if needed.

If you need any mounting ideas. I just put my regulator on a carb plate. Heres a blurry pic.

What's the check valve for? To keep the line full of fuel?

Are you feeding 800's with the black pump? Do they maintain fuel pressure under boost?
