the five blade would be a good choice. but the drives will break.. some slip on a boat this heavy can be your friend. the hering props would be my choice in a five blade. they do slip when getting on plane more than a hydro. Im no expert just some thoughts..

When Gary Sanchez owned the 38 TG F2 boat, and had the tall props on it, we had to keep giving it throttle until the props would start to blow out at about 2500 RPM: then YANK the throttles back and let the wall of water/wake hit the back of the boat. This gave you a solid bite of water and an extra little lift to bite the props into with just the right timing, and the boat would come up pretty quick; again--all with the right timing.
I think Lucky Strike was able to dial the boat in better when they owned it, but that's the only way that Gary and I could get the boat on plane the week that he bought it from Phil. |

Jeff Just from 575 hp, I figure it would hold up to that power, especially if its slipping. Im thinking maybe 6 blades? |

I have no issues with slipping or blowout. But mine is a straight hull. drives on 2 Tabs down just a little past level and steady on the throttle, as it starts coming up drives out then tabs up. I've also always heard that Tigers are better with 4 blade bravo props.

Why would you run without the diffuser ring? Are you not concerned with melting the inner shell of the shaft? Just curious how you came about trying this method? :ernaehrung004: |

Jeremy,
Do you remember how the 4blds you used of mine performed on ur tiger? I still have those in the boxes and not sure they would work for his application? Pretty sure they are 30's def not labbed. If I remember correctly they might have been a little small.... Can't remember how they performed. Thanks again for letting me borrow them. If I remeber correct they worked nicely. |
Phil just put on some new cavitation plates on my buddies TS (750Zul boat) and now the boat pops up and zero blowout. he is very happy with the new modification.
