Cigarette Mystique Thread!!

1 Attachment(s)
As everyone know I recently got a 2002 Cigarette Mystique!!! I wanted to start a thread of my own for this boat, like I did with my Apache!! I will be doing mods and custom work to my Mystique over the next month. Boat has 2 496 Mag HO's, Bravo 1 XR drives, and 26P Bravo 1 props!! I have had it to 73.1 on GPS with 5 people and 1 full tank of gas, other tank was empty. I am going to do motor mods, and try different props. I belive it will run better with just 1 person in the boat and less gas!! :food-smiley-007:

How does the ride compare to your old 28 Apache?

I put a windshield on mine instead of the flaps made the ride much more enjoyable. Dad and I made the bracket and bought a 3/8's sheet of plexiglass. Not to hard to make but well worth the effort.

looked good, shame what happened to your old boat!! it was one of the nicest looking Mystiques!!! your old boat was a 500 EFI strait bottom correct? what speeds did you get out of yours??

Ptufaro 05-06-2009 05:41 PM

Yes it had 500EFI's it would do 82
It realy was a clean boat with attention to detail in every compartment.

WMF,

Like Andy asked. Any comments on how your new Cig compares with your old Apache on the water?? By the way, I love that paint job! Congrats on your new toy.

I would be hard for me to compare, I only had the Apache in the water twice, never really got to run it!! They feel different, the Apache was much smaller inside! and felt more nimble!! The Cigarette is a much larger boat overall, the cockpit is deeper and has a better fit to it!!, they did feel the same on Accelartion and top end!! the Apache did get thier quicker! overall I like the Cigarette better because its newer, lines, and cabin and cockpit!!

I sold this boat to Pete a few years ago before it was destroyed in the strom. One of the nicest mystiques ever built period. I think the cost new was something like 345k.

Looks better!
Now take you old ones and have them painted with some graphics. Then in the winter get the dash painted with graphics.
Those metal dashes on Cigs always need attention every two years or so to keep looking pristine.

When I had a 496 the K&N robbed me of about 2-3 mph. Took me a while to figure out what did it, but I put the stock arrestor back on *poof* right back to where I started. Maybe it was just mine, but I would test it - I think you get a lot more flow with the stock.

I still love that mystique...your really starting to make me regret my choice.:ernaehrung004:
