This may start a huge debate but I'll say it anyway...I assume it didn't work because T/S guns CG is not set up for those big azz 6's hanging off the back and trannies pushing the motors forward.

Greek, did you build that boat? Who painted the lightning? It really is a great paint job. Love the way it flows from the "storm" near the Cig emblem to the lightning striking across the bow. Great concept.

Which boat was the replacement with 6's?

yea but it works on toms boat, there had to have been something else that just needed to be tweaked.

I think there's a manner in which you need to drive #6 T/S's that take some learning curve. Tom has figured out how through "on the job training" and taking Tres's course. It runs good.

Tank, I did have this boat built. George P at Cigarette painted the boat and Gustavo and I designed it. There was another painter involved and if I remember correctly his name was Eddie. The replacement was that 2004 purple/blue 38 TG TS with large script Cigarette written on each side. Called it "Heavy Metal Thunder."

Plain and simple. The hull design of these boats are not the best for big power and excessive speeds. Just like a T/S Tiger, which is good to the low 90's before its handling characteristics start to deteriorate. Not all hulls are designed to do 100+ MPH.

Cool history. Sad it burned. :(

Any pics of "Heavy Metal Thunder"?
