Question Intercoolers???

In the process of building my engines and was wanting to add intercoolers but my question is this...can i tap in to the extra sea strainer port or should i add a two stage sea pump?? what are the pros and cons of both???.....thanks bigfarmer

The best way to do it is add separate transom pick ups for the intercoolers. They need to get as much water as possible for them and you don't want to deprive anything else of water flow. And also the chillers do not need water at no wake speeds, so getting pressurized water at low speeds is actually bad since it could possibly take the fuel out of suspension.
