Thumbs up looking at a CIG 27 sqd

Looking at the sit down 27, I was in one with 500hp back in 96, I thought it ran good in 3 to 4 footers, but the owner got stuck off of nantucket in 4 to 5s and said he got soaked they might of been bigger it was in 96 and its rough out there 20miles off the coast . how are they in general, would one make a good redo, say with a bravo 1x drive and 650hp or better with a konrad and 1000 plus hp?? and what is one worth being rebuilt with new cockpit. thanks for any input. Art. what sucks is theres no cabin to sleep in like the 28. but for pokerruns and racing in p5 or p4, it may be good.

you looking at the one down in LA?
It looks pretty nice from the pics.
I'd say 750-800 and a konrad would be the ch!t.

I have two motors ones blower ones at 670 but with a new cam and intake should be about 700 to 730hp it has under 30hours on it, one I am looking at is stripped so MERC HD OR KONRAD, I was thinking of building it and selling it and then buy a joker 28, and put what ever I had left. there was a 27 with 500hp that looked good on here I think it sold for 35,000 with a bravo. if we do a 27 it would have ppi seats or a calf co I used for custom stuff. a new everything so would one be worth 50,000 with 700hp/bravo or 70,000 with blower motor /konrad. IT WOULD BE A NEW BOAT PAINT TOO. I who nows I might love it and keep it. also would it handle rough water like the joker 28 with higher freeboard. I love the joker 28 hull with ppi seats.

Red face

yeh I didn't think so, but the motor is new and worth half and athe konrad is new so theres 60,000 grand worth of stuff, then seats ppi 5 grand steering new gauges k planes, then paint, so that plan is going out the window haahah, I COULD TAKE MY new merc stuff drive and all the parts I have listed and back up motor and put it together, if its still around. I never got any pics sent so. just going to save up some more money for a joker that I would keep, but thanks for your in put. the one I rode in 27 was on a good day there were 3footers and one big ferry wake in woodshole we hit at 25 and went way up and landed smooth. well later.
