My experience with mine has been to keep the nose up and trimmed out...But then again, I am definitely not an expert...Just an owner of one...

**when in doubt trim it out****

What type of HP are you planning to run?

What speeds are you hoping to achieve to be competitive?

Supersport boats are 4.5 kg/Hp, I don't know how much gladiator's weigh so...

The max speed for supersport is 85mph and you can/may exceed that speed for 10 seconds.

Tres Martin, an experienced boat racer, won many races in his.

A few one hit wonders raced them as well. Those boats take experience, more than a checkbook, to get their full potential on the racecourse. They aren't a raceboat for beginners, or someone just looking for the boat racing "image".

Lynch Mob/Wanted, is the nicest one I've seen:

lynch mob is an awsome looking boat, canopys are,nt allowed in supersport only in evolution.i would probably run 525,s you can run more power if you add weight depends what the glad weighs.at the moment it all depends on sponsors as to do p1 you need a pretty big budget compared to what i need to run the xs in england.but hey if you dont try

The choices of Gladiators are endless if you don't need a canopy. I'd look into a side by side version, just for the added turning abilty, and stablization. They are all fast, and the side by side's run just as good as the staggered setups, so you can't go wrong either way.

This one in particular would a be a GREAT raceboat in the class you are trying to run. Naturally aspirated, and are now 750's since this pic was taken:
