The cabin in a 35 is the same as a 38? How much head room is there in the cabin? How long is the v-berth? Does the non stepped hull do any better in rough water than the stepped hull?

The T/S 35 is a fairly rare bird. You would be limited to a handful of 35 Top Gun's and about a dozen Playboys.

Cig Headroom: probably about 4'8" - 5'0" is my guess off the top of my head.

Many cigs of that vintage do not have V-berths, just half cover girl cabins, or "extended" cover girl cabins which would mean you wouldn't have a full V-berth.

V-Berth length - I assume it would be similiar to mine and I am 6'0" and my wife and I overnight in mine close to 20 nights a year.

As for ride quality - they are both cigs. The flat bottoms have the "advantage" of plenty of extra weight....

My TSTG rides significantly better than either of my strait hull guns rode. I wouldn't go back.

Some of the TS's have filler cushions that go between the lounges to make that the "sleeping" area.

If you want to overnight the old cabin style is much more friendly but you trade speed and ride for comfort. If you need a place to crash the new style will work, if you want to sleep, eat breakfast and take a deuce, I'd opt for a strait hull.

Having just changed the waste pipe in my cafe I would have to say NEITHER boat is acceptable for a deuce.....

Pretty much hit the nail on the head. However TS do ride a bit better. The extended cover girl berth is larger than most V-Berths. Also the bench seats are about the length and width of a single bed.

I love the cabin on my Playboy - it looks just like Boatr1's. When the side cushions are placed over the walkway it makes a HUGE bed and is very comfortable to sleep. I recently installed a 19' LCD and DVD player which is really nice for watching movies on overnighters. The wife is always complaining about not having a head, and for SURE no one is dropping a duece on my boat
Lots of storage space under the benches as well as up in the nose. Boat rides so nice I have had people sleeping down there while underway in a light chop with no problem.
