20 CIg #'s
Maybe someone has a clue as to what this could be...Just went to see a 20 CIG and the vin # started with FLZ or FLA...The title does reflect CRT as the MAKE, and It does have Cigarette boat racing as the manufacturer...But I don't have a clue as to why it would have these letters under the ID number...This is the way they are on the back of the transom..
CRT
FLZ1234567890
Thanks,
Joe
could this be a legitimate CIG or a knock off..It has all the characteristics of a true CIG.

CIG,
How would that affect the overall legitimacy of it being a CIG.Would this be considered a True Cig, Or just something different...It's not in the best of shape, but if it is legit, maybe someone can work with it...Still, even if a new title was applied for, shouldn't it reflect the original VIN...
Thanks,
Joe

I think I had seen this boat on another site is it red??? I believe it was a mid 1970's boat and should have had a CRT HIN stamped on the transom which may have been covered up by transom glass work. with out that it might be hard to re establish the original HIN that's why florida gave it a flz number. there are other signs though that can tell you if it is a 20 Cig or not look at the steering wheel the 20's had a tilt away wheel, also a ski locker up front from side to side and might have storage bins inside the motor compartment

Matt,
Without a doubt it is a Cig, it has everything that I look for...The bin on the deck, the rigging, the Bilge area etc....The boat is an 85 boat...just curious about the HIN...
thanks,
joe

Joe,
there is one more hope for a hin I think in 1984 they made it mandatory for a second HIN to be stamped on the inside of the boat up on the deck near where the HIN is on the outside on the right side of the transom. good luck great little boats

Matt,
I appreciate your help..Just spoke to the seller and told him I was going to pass on this one..It is a nice boat, just unsure of the whole HIN number and all..Maybe another shows up soon in the same price range..
Thanks,
Joe
