Just wondering if anybody knows these boats. They have been on trader for a while. Any opinions on them?

Who knows where the market really is on the boat but I think if you got into it with newer/refreshed power and a trailer for 60ish you can feel like you have a good boat and a decent price, that you could use for a few years and hopefully not lose the farm on.
The problem to me with the first one is that it is dated, and you get into BIG money when you start painting/redoing interior/updating, and in comparison to the first one, repowering is in a lot of ways much easier than updating cosmetically - it's about 2 dozen bolts on each engine.

I actually like the graphics (or lack of same) on the first one but used blower motors make me nervous as hell.
Side note, I think it says something when a seller brags on his maintenance ("always Mobil 1!") but can't be bothered to clean up the crap laying all over the cabin before he takes a picture of it.

Budget for Hydraulic Steering - neither has it, and both should in my opinion, ESPECIALLY the one with 700hp blower motors.

Thanks for the input guys. These 2 boats have been for sale for a while. I am hoping to get a great deal on one of them. I like the look of the first boat better, but I am worried about the motors. I emailed the owner. He has not used the boat this year.

I would be inclined to look at the second one because it is more modern with the intention of refreshing/repowering and beat him up on the price with the understanding that you have 10k+ in motor work that will be necessary SOON (I can't believe the broker has the gall to say "Only 430 hours")

As far as cosmetics, I am old man in a young man's body. I love the "classic" or as some might say "dated" look. As long as everything works.
I was thinking that these boats should be in the $30000 range. Especially the first one. There is no trailer with it and it has been laid up for a while.
