There was a thread on this at some point either on this site or the other but noone in the world thought it would work well. It's too heavy (8500-9000 dry - 2 engines), would be horribly unpleasant docking in any slightly adverse conditions, and I am not sure it would work with the existing stringers.

Teo - look at a 28 Apache single. there a only a few out there, but may be just what you are looking for.

What about small block twins? Cheaper to work on than BBC and easier on drives. 28SS?
