I ran the boat this weekend with 17 3/8x30" 4 blade props and it was like a different boat,it got up on plane with no problem and the slip came down to 15%,the best so far.My only problem is that i'm down on rpm's.I'm looking for 17.5 or 18 dia.x26 or 27's.My prop shaft is 1.75 below the bottom so it seems like the larger dia. is helping me alot with getting on plane and helping the slip%.thanks for everyone's input I appreciate it.
Frank you ever try dropping the drives with the 2 " spacers you have to help get on plane? I`m still interested in those btw, sent ya a pm few days ago... |
Hey this is a great thread to come back too. Yes I dropped off the face for awhile and yes i still have the old girl. She has stayed dry for the last two seasons (not by choice)!!! Before that I was boating out of Racine 100% of the time. Anyone still have that photo from M/C when i Believe we had 5 rafted off together?

H2o puts on a old school reunion on lake St. Clair with Miller Marine. It would be a great time to pull the Flat decks together... I'll be there and I think Full Force will be to.

Puple and White 38 Flatdeck
Looks like the boat I rigged in Md back in the mid 90's. We had to block up the engine hatch to get the 572's in. The boat was origionally white with yellow red and orange stripes when I got it. Still looks Great,Classics never die!
