Do tell more! Beautiful 38 you have. How does it run with the big power and 3A's? Thinking about getting a Flatdeck 38, love the lines of them.

The Kevlar boats are at least 1000# lighter. They are different to drive, they react to trim alot faster. Mine is a little slower but will require less tab when it gets rough out.

Ryan's boat is glass and has 3A's it is a converted TRS boat.

It will run 90-92 with the #3A's and 100-103 with the #5's. It's for sale, if you are interested. Low hours on everything and fresh water.

Guys, What is the function of this webbing? Was it omitted for race layups for any reason other than weight? Thx, Randy

Ahhh, Tell me more about our old mistress... Do you have any current pics? That sounds about right, that was the only stuff it needed to bring up to date. PM what he is looking to get out of it.
Thanks,
Jr.

How are you doing Mark?

Kris, we are doing fine. Boat ran good all summer for the summer we had. I think I put 20 hours on it.

Boat is looking good. Who is painting it? How is your brothers boat coming?

Mark

I though that was it. Didn't you go under door mouse before?

Is your interior orginal or was it redone and if so who did it.

I may get one more year out of mine some of the seams are getting weak.

I see you got the Konrads how do you like them?

Mark,

Will Christman from the Sign Shop in Racine is doing the graphics; I got it to all white for him.

Kirk's boat is basically ready for paint, he is going to hold off till spring to shoot it.

Man, great thread guys! I didn't realize there were so many NICE Flat Decks out there.

kvogt 10-12-2009 01:44 PM

My brother and I were just talking, his 1986 38 flatdeck is hull number 91 and 86rette has hull #104. How many 1986 38s were built and what was the last one?

Kris

MrCIG 10-12-2009 05:16 PM

Mine is #78 from 1985.

Mark

86Rette 10-12-2009 08:04 PM

Hello Mark, my int. is about 14 years old. A friend at Tiara power boats refreshened it for me, unfortunatly he no longer works at that company and has moved out of town. The konrads are awsome, they have performed perfectly. Its great to see you ,Fox Hunter and the ex Crazy Horse are still on the water. Kris, I believe yours is the first surface drive cig I have ever seen, incedible rooster tails. Mark what happened to the fifth mi. city flatdeck, RussSR1?

MrCIG 10-12-2009 08:41 PM

Don't know what happened to Russ.

We should get a reunion next summer. Maybe South Haven or Michigan City again. Hopefully Kris will have his put back together again

Mark

sonic700 10-12-2009 08:41 PM

ill get some pics of the new dash and the race hatches i built once i figure out how to post them on here

86Rette 10-12-2009 09:18 PM

I think it would be fun to have a flatdeck reunion. Its always interesting to see how guys have modified the older boats to personalise them and improve performance. I think there is 1 more flatdeck in west mi. area, it is your sister ship its paint scheme is the same as yours.
