We'd probably have to make some sort of a sign up list and maybe see what would be a central location or where the majority of the boats would be coming from. Or does anyone know if there will be an offshore race in MI city IN again next year? It might be fun to all meet up somewhere a nice distance from Michigan City then all cruise to watch the race? Opinions?

I'm in for a flatdeck run. I just have to get it all back together first.

Kris; your surface drive setup is interesting. What horsepower, cruise and top speeds are you seeing? I looked at arnesons as a viable alterative to my constant TRS meltdowns but the cost of converting seemed high considering the value of my boat at the time. The Konrad alterative has been a cost effective way to build in dependability and my performance has improved. I am still playing with props ,my slip nos. are higher than I would like.

I was running about 800hp and seeing a top speed of 90 mph. I think 60mph was around 3600rpms. I was in the same boat as you - I put the bigger engines in with the TRS drives and smoked 4 drives in one summer. When I looked for options these used Arnesons seemed to be the best choice. Konrads were either not out yet or not popular yet when I looked.

I have the boat apart right know, I'm hoping for a little more speed when it gets back together.

Kris, my motors are supercharged 468s dynoed at 600hp.I cruise at about 3600 as you but at 56 to 58 depending on load and best top speed of 84 gps at 5400 in 3 to 5 foot waves, 2 people low fuel. A rush that never seems to get old! Rick.

Id say you are doing very well with 600HP mills and TRS getting 84 out of it. A buddy of mine with a Top Gun with konrads and 800's isnt doing a whole lot better.

Mild Thunder, I am running the Konrads, 2.25 inches shorter than the stock TRS. Merc. labbed bravo 31 four blades seem to perform the best so far. Rick
