They ride nice. I have been in both in big water and the T/S Gun does ride nicer. It doesnt nearly look as good but it does ride better. Its only 7 inches shorter than the gun but the Gun rides better in the rough.

I have been in both numerous times, back to back , and still feel the Glad( IMO) rides better. But, of course there are various conditions such as water, the driver, etc that can make a difference.

In the Ocean?? The Gladiator was driven by my father and throttled by myself and the Gun by a guy that has been running Cigarette's for 20 years. In the real rough water the Gladiator does not run as well as the T/S Top Gun. The Gladiator is lighter and doesnt ride as well. Thats not to say the ride is bad cause it rides great for a 36ft boat but the length and weight of the Gun counts for alot. Just my .02

The lenghth is almost a non-issue in this case. And, I am sure the 6 bladed props help as well. Anyhow, I have spent alot of time in the ocean on numerous Cigs both here and in Fl. If there is a difference, it would be mimimal at best. Although, I must admitt, the better ride would be whatever Phil was driving at the time.

I agree, They put the cockpit too far forward on the Maximus. It is not necessary...just look at where the cockpit is on the Kilo Boat. Maybe too far back esthetically, but shows that having you sit in the middle of the boat is not a performance issue, it is a party cockpit issue.
