Gladiators for sale

I think I have my cc sold and one of the boats I am interested in is a gladiator. I don't see a lot for sale on oso or anywhere for that matter so does anyone have one for sale. I want a 525 boat. Thanks

seafordguy 01-21-2010 07:05 AM

Problem solved - this has to be the best looking GLAD I have ever seen pictures of.

OL40SVX 01-21-2010 09:39 AM

Id look at Joe's for sure but also call Philly to see if he has anything coming available. Or you know you can always just buy my cat!:D:D

thisistank 01-21-2010 10:09 AM

There's some cheap glads out there and then there's some prectine glads out there that are a bit more.

Joes is really nice.

I really like the uniqueness of the colors of the Glad Phil has on his site. And it's in new condition.

Good luck on a purchase. This is the fun part!

100 % agree...There are no other boats in it's class..CIG #1

pm203 01-22-2010 06:05 PM

The Gladiator has some of the best looking lines of any boat. And, sitting while driving is the only way to go.

I personally think the Gladiator looks much better than the Maximus.

I agree, They put the cockpit too far forward on the Maximus. It is not necessary...just look at where the cockpit is on the Kilo Boat. Maybe too far back esthetically, but shows that having you sit in the middle of the boat is not a performance issue, it is a party cockpit issue.:party-smiley-004:

Speaking about the Glad, don't forget how nice they ride. Call me crazy, but I feel that it rides better than a 38 T/S Gun. Don't forget, the bottom was redesigned by Michael Peters and the boat is only inches shorter than a Gun.

They ride nice. I have been in both in big water and the T/S Gun does ride nicer. It doesnt nearly look as good but it does ride better. Its only 7 inches shorter than the gun but the Gun rides better in the rough.

pm203 01-23-2010 05:25 PM

I have been in both numerous times, back to back , and still feel the Glad( IMO) rides better. But, of course there are various conditions such as water, the driver, etc that can make a difference.

In the Ocean?? The Gladiator was driven by my father and throttled by myself and the Gun by a guy that has been running Cigarette's for 20 years. In the real rough water the Gladiator does not run as well as the T/S Top Gun. The Gladiator is lighter and doesnt ride as well. Thats not to say the ride is bad cause it rides great for a 36ft boat but the length and weight of the Gun counts for alot. Just my .02

pm203 01-23-2010 09:16 PM

The lenghth is almost a non-issue in this case. And, I am sure the 6 bladed props help as well. Anyhow, I have spent alot of time in the ocean on numerous Cigs both here and in Fl. If there is a difference, it would be mimimal at best. Although, I must admitt, the better ride would be whatever Phil was driving at the time. :D

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion

I'd agree with that!:D I'd be interested to hear Phils opinion on this.

The 600 boat went overseas... we are doing an overhaul on the 05 Phil has... I will post pictures as the project goes on for the next couple of months.

the strength and honor boat/old kilo setup is diff than the maximus, I think the lines on the maximus are pretty close to the glad. aslo on both tom and ricks there is storage behind the rear seat. toms was the rio roses boat converted.
