Default Cigarette vs Formula Need help!

Thinking of moving up from a Formula 252 to a fastech 353 or 382. Also considering a Cigarette 35 or 38. Has anyone had direct experience with these two type of boats. Will be used in LI Sound, Northeast. 500 efi's , looking for smooth ride in 3-4 foot water. Tired of getting beat up. Looking for a 2000 or 2001 thats all I can afford.

2 different boats........mainly cause the cig has no cabin to speak of where a 382 is often used for overnighting in AC with the TV on pulling drinks out of the frig. Cig will be a little faster, and ride a little better, although the 382 ride isn't bad. Both built very well with good re-sale.

I went from a 89 311 to a 2000 42 tiger, you cant really go wrong with either the 382 or a 38 gun, like Russ said, depends on the cabin amenities you want, mine has an extended cover girl, i have slept (passed out) in it quite comfortably, make a list of whats important for you to have and be honest with yourself.. lots of good deals out there now.

If you spend the night in a hotel, or your wife/SO doesn't mind "roughing" it - CIG.

If you want a boat with good cabin ammenities, I'd snag the formula.

The T/S cigs and the Formulas of that era really are different boats....

Very different boats. You might as well consider Donzi, Outerlimits, Nor-Tech, and Fountain as well

The 38' Donzi is a really nice boat that has a pretty nice cabin/speed/ride combo.
