Im seriously thinking about running Rotella 15 - 40w in my boat this year... its good enough for the Duramax and I usually run the oil about 7 - 10K miles. That should be equivilant to 4 months of abuse on LOTO.... running 500's w/ trs drives. Ran the 20 - 50w in the beginning, engines idled at 65 psi.... little to high for me. Who else has input ?

Super Charged 502's, Gas, 605hp.
I use Mobile 1 Synthetic 15/50.
It was recommended by my engine builder.
Change out oil every 10 hours of running time.

I use the Rotella 15W40.. Probably going to switch to synthetic now that they are broken in. Citgo makes an oil called Mystik for diesels/farm equipment. It is a heavy duty synthetic blend diesel 15W50.

I run Renegade Racing Oil...its a 20w50. I switched last summer and it made my motors start much easier. These old cold natured 454's needed it. Very happy with Syn 20w50 so far.

I use valvoline racing 20W-50 in my 502's. Change it about every 25 hours. Boat sees 4k plus rpms about 2 or 3 times a year.

I think I am going to switch to Mobil 1 this year though.

I have always used valvoline racing 20W-50 also and change it at around 30 hours or when it first starts to not be clear. Its readily availaby at O'Reilly's.

I would say all of the above a good choices, personally I run Mobil 1 15w50. I have also used Full Synthetic Rotella 5w40, no complaints with that oil either.
