Yes, it was Progressive that went up on me in Texas. I called them and they said it was approved by the state that they could raise their rates. I think they are full of ! I have an older boat that is worth less every year, perfect driving record, I"m 40 years old and not a KID, and they went up on my rate. Anyway, I need more input. So far, Total Dollar is winning.

Stacy at wakezone has mine, and she got me a rate with equal coverage and saved me $650.00 a year. Its a '93 Top Gun with Chief Blower Motors. I did need to get a survey.

That's really not too bad at all in my opinion. I pay about double that on my '95 Cafe through Progressive - but I'm in FL.

I have to agree 1666.00 a year is pretty good for the age, the declared value and remember there is always the replacement cost factor.

I pay $892/year on my '88 TopGun (twin 800's) with $80K agreed value.....but there are three boats on the policy. The other two are a 1979 13' Whaler ($102/year) and a 2004 19' Pro-Line ($118/year).

I pay right at about 1k per year on my Cafe. After market 600HP blower motors.

I am under 30, never had a ticket/accident/claim. On the flip side this is the first boat I have ever insured, and my previous boat ownership was "zero". Nothing else on the policy - layup during the VA winter.
