Default Boats Selling

A quick run through the classifieds looks like a number of Cigarettes have sold in the last month. I don't know how list prices compare to actual sale price but it appears some inventory is changing hands.

A good sign.

Thumbs down

If you think your boat is worth $75,000, you can sell it for $59,000. It's a buyer's market.

Since the Fed said yesterday they think unemployment will still be in the 7's in 2012 and at least 5 more years before we get back the 8 million jobs lost that may have to be an option for many.

Yup,noone is putting a guns to anyones head to sell,
if it sells then that must be what it's worth at this point in time to both buyer and seller... Some are just mad because they overpaid or overfinanced when things were going insane.
Boats arent investments, they are money pits,, incredibly fun money pits however..

It's a buyer's market, for used boats, not new. It doesn't work both way unfortunately.

There is a price to be paid to have the privilege to run a boat as fast at it can possibly run (100-200mph); most anytime, most anywhere...legally.

Going through the classifieds yesterday, LOTS of nice stuff for sale cheap! I wish I had a million to spend on toys, I would have 8 or 9 sick boats that originally cost 250,000 each, going for 100,000 to 125 now! I NEED MONEY !!!!!
