They started with 6 cylinders in the early 1970's and in the end had small blocks...not sure how anyone can answer your last question?

There's one running around here on the river. In very nice shape. Looked at one like 20 years ago with straight 6 's , just thought it was wrong !

I just picked one up. Filling the transom and putting twin outboards on it, should be a fun project. This will be my first Cigarette restoration so just trying to find out as much info as possible. Any ideas for interior? Who should I go through for old school logos for the seats and sun pad?

I saw one recently that someone converted to a make-shift Cafe open...Meaning they took the two seats out, made it a center console and took the forward benches out too. Thought it was a cool change and more practical than the original lay out.

Interior and logos? Depends on where you're at. Matching the factory logos seems to be a challenge for most.

Hey thank you! Do you know Craig by any chance? I still can't believe he has not sold it yet.

I'm in Naples FL. What I'm trying to do is update the interior with newer style bolsters and seats. Because I'm freeing up a bunch of space in the transom by getting rid of the sterndrive setup and putting outboards on back I will have room for a sun pad. So I want it to look modern but use old school logo.

Contact Premier Performance Interiors.

I have the source files for the "old school" script logo that I had PPI do on my old Cig a few years back. Drop me an email and I can forward you the files / pics.

I agree with going to ppi in sarasota. I've seen a lot of their work and have been to their factory and I'm having my 28ss interior done by them after this summer
