There was a thread somewhere real recently about soda blasting and how great it turned out and that it only set them back a couple hundred bucks....

Got any idea what type of paint is on the bottom ? It may be an ablative which will wear off over a couple seasons.

This works great; not as abrasive and no mess.

I've done some work with the Green Ice folks on the compressor end. Awesome setup, we actually used it to degrease machines and vehicles. Drive it in the cleaning rack, degrease it, drive it out again. I would see if they are local and get an estimate..

These are some guys we've used several places across the country, but they are up by you fairly close (I think).

If I remember correctly they will also rent you the equipment. Worth a look anyway.

did all of you guys that had bottoms soda blasted re-paint again or compound and wax??. the boats Ive seen done have come out nice except the gel was roughed up pretty bad. Great if you repaint, but it looked like it would be hard to make shine again.
