I don't think there was a reason...Just did something different...Here's the 38 Gun "twin" to it...I love the paint scheme. Original and something classy to it.

I still dont get the center console thing though....

Just a different design I guess. I wouldn't want it on my boat.

I really like the paintjob on the center steer Maximus, & on the Top Gun that Tank posted pics of.

That Maximus could still use a few changes that would make it MUCH more user friendly, & safer to operate.

For example: You can't access the cabin without raising the helm forward, so the driver has to get out of the way every time someone needs to go down below. That would get real old having to kill the power every time, THEN move aside, especially when you're trying to idle around.

It's also tough to see other boats port & starboard from the drivers seat when you're running, when there are people sitting in the forward seats on either side of the helm.

It's a neat looking boat, but they never built another one like it due to "some" of these details. The other cockpit is so much more comfortable for the driver & passengers to operate the boat from.

That seating arrangement reminds me of an amusement park ride. I also like the paint but prefer the side by side seating.

He's talking about the helm configuration Sam. There are 4 maximus' total, this is the only one with the "funky" seating.

Oh, I see. Thanks Tank! What were the other ones? I have only seen 1 in person. The other 3 I see on the Internet- one of them is the boat I originally requested pics for.
