Just ordered our new 39 Unlimited Top Gun w/700's and 6 drives. As per my first Cigarette post, this has been a lifelong dream of mine. David Woods at Pier 57, Skip, Hector and Vic at Cigarette made it happen, Thanks guys!

I realize this thread is useless without pictures and promise to post them as she develops. Primary color is red with gray and black accents.

Stay tuned:drink:

Gary

Congrats! You will absolutely be amazed at the ride and handling.

johnlomant 09-29-2010 07:59 PM

Way to go . I see you changed your name.

Jamie B. 09-29-2010 08:10 PM

Nice package !

uh, and I mean that in a manly way

ktron 09-29-2010 08:15 PM

Congrats! I am sure you will not be dissapointed. Are you going to be running the NXT transom assy's and trannies with the 6's? I am interested to see the speed difference, if any, with the 6's as opposed to the NXT's. Why did you opt for the 6's instead of the NXT's?

Yeah, my 35 was great (sold fast) but after three of them decided to try something different. The 39 is a perfect size, fits everything but my tow vehicle. Also, want to try several of the big runs in the coming years.

Cheers

Hoping for slight pickup in speed. 6 extends a bit and is more aerodynamic than the NXT. It does weigh more so we shaw see.

pm203 09-29-2010 09:17 PM

Congratulations. You have selected the best overall 39 on the market.

boatfreak 09-29-2010 09:21 PM

Congrats Gary. Do you have an idea on a time frame?

AND he fit it out with NO corners cut from what it sounds like. That should be a rough water BEAST with the 6's on back. Congratulations!

inknppr 09-30-2010 09:43 AM

That is awesome! Good luck with the build.

A 39 with 6's should go IN the show. I'd say that more than qualifies for a spot, since you don't see 39's with 6's very often.

Show us your paint design if you have it, and want to?

I'd have them paint EVERYTHING to match, including drives, tabs, swim platform, I mean every inch. :drink:

Sweet ride! Congrats! Hope to see it around Cumberland in 2011!!

I still like the Mercury Racing black drives. A buddy of mine painted his drives green once, it still haunts me.

Jamestown/State Dock

I would think the green would haunt you but if you can continue the graphic of the boat out across the drives it just makes for a complete look.

Congrats sweet boat! :drink:

He owned 3 35 Nordic's, prior to starting the build on the 39. Gary has really loaded this boat out and its going to be one of the sickest 39's ever built..

Looking forward to the debut at the Miami show!! :drink:

pm203 10-07-2010 02:00 PM

Plus, Cig tweaked the bottom recently on the 39.

PromoProducts-BP 10-07-2010 02:08 PM

Cig tweaked the bottom of the 39' starting in 2011?

PS- Another question, what is the difference between a Top Gun and a Top Gun GT? Thanks

I believe the first one was early in 2010 and it was just a minor tweak for better stability. The Topgun GT has a longer rear hatch and smaller cockpit area than a regular Topgun. Plus, some of the GT's were kinda stripped, option wise.
