Whatever color you paint it will be the color the windshield glows at night, I painted mine blue to hidethe bracket and it gives off a nice glow through the windshield, almost like a weak fiber optic !

This seems too logical so I'm thinking there's something I'm missing?

Well here's my update for the low down cost of $148.00
Plexiglass 1'x7' $125
7' long 3/4 inch piece of angled Aluminum (from HomeDepot) $15
Barrel Bolt plastic washers (Ace Hardware) $8
Old School provided the template from his plexiglass when he had it off then I traced on to the plexi cut and sanded
I think it turned out pretty good and I haven't really fixed it up yet by rounding off the corners on the aluminum and maybe painting it.
It really didn't take that long to do...and actually I think what took the longest was getting the balls to make the first cut into the plexiglass....LOL
Sorry for now these are the closest picture of it I have...I'll get somemore this weekend

I want to see if I can save some coin, which I am pretty sure I can...but haven't ruled out Phil yet
