Cakewalk will be the largest yacht to be built in the US since the 1930s. The magnificent superyacht’s modern classic design echoes the timeless elegance of motor yachts from American yachting’s golden era.

Gotta thank Jason again for letting us run with him on his new boat (my old boat) in Lauderdale and down to Miami for the day before we drove down to KW. It was a def. treat and joy to hang with Jason.

HAHA, I've never had a problem with OL...I think it's you that's coming around:drink::grinser010::drink::grinser010:

You missed a great trip. A SH!TLOAD of spectacular boats. We ran into Haulover with this guy on Wed. Great looking ride. We were actually commenting with each other that it doesn't matter what boat you're on (we were on our old Cig), MOST appreciate the fact theres another performance boat and start snapping pictures and waving.

We also ran alongside (we were driving) a couple OL's and an MTI from Key Largo to the bridge, going back to Miami on Sunday afternoon (wish I had pics of the roosters). Awesome sight of the three boats running hard across the bay.

We saw it at the Lauderdale Boat show and it was so large they couldn't dock it at Bahia Mar. It is just incredible looking!! I shot a bunch of photos of the toy garage, that was neat!

I think they were quoting a charter price of $1 million per week plus expenses.

Not to rain on anyones Cigarette parade, but I am a huge Cig fan and I just cant help to think that they have "missed" on a few of their newer boats. The 50' Marauder looks horrible, it looked unfinished at the show and it already looks out dated today... and the AMG boat is also a miss. I know its only a color preference and design, but when looking at the Nor Techs its becoming very clear that Cig has not been keeping up !! Veery sad for Cig... but just my .02 :party-smiley-004:

Hi Tank great pictures. One question, did you sell your Cig or is that it in your pictures?

Hey Rick, yes we did sell the Cig a couple months back to a member (Jason) in Ft. Lauderdale. He was kind enough to invite us out for the day on Wed. So we got to put the 'ol girl through the ropes once again. Jason has actually put more hours on it since having it than we did in the past two years (thus the reason we sold). I told him it's like both ours but we'll keep it at his place! :drink:

PromoProducts-BP 11-17-2010 11:32 AM

Tank, as always, great pictures. I hope you're in Lauderdale sometime when I'm using my parents place; you seem like a fun guy to party with.

Is Jason on OSO? We have a little local group that does local fun runs, but then again if he is putting that many hours on it, he has no shortage of places to visit. I havent been out locally much, trips to the keys and sanibel(more fuel used in the truck than in the boat), havent seen it around yet.

Tanner, varying opinions are what makes this place great. And I don't take it as you're hating at all. I know your dedication and love for the brand. Believe it or not, Cigarette listens to feed back, reads these boards and does everything possible to please their customers and that is exactly why the two boats you mentioned above were painted the way they were painted. The silver/orange 50 was painted that way to meet the original buyers specific desires and requests. He wanted it brushed silver with the orange accent (just like the twin 20 that went along with it). When that buyer backed out at the last minute, the boat was quickly sold to its current (very pleased) owner. Furthermore, I think you’ll be pleased at what Cigarette has in store for the 50 Marauder in the future…stand by.

In regards to the AMG boat, it was a specialty built boat (as we all know) with those at AMG. I think the goal was subtlety, refinement and class with an underlying ferociousness (1350 Turbos). It’s common opinion that the AMG boat “missed its target” but I would beg to argue that the boat hit its market dead on. The boat (in my opinion) was built to show case Cigarette as the dominant offshore performance boat builder, completely custom and world-class - specifically focusing on the latter. The boat was designed to showcase Cigarette over seas and in the higher end market (The Robb Report, Du Pont Registry, Concours d’elegance, etc). This can be argued to death but I’m fairly certain Skip, the Cigarette team and those at AMG are happy with the outcome of the boat, thus we (as Cigarette supporters) should be happy for them. It may not be your taste, my taste or others tastes around here, but I can assure you it hit its intended market dead on.

With that said, as you know, paint schemes go through phases and fads just like everything else and it appears (much to many a happy shi-grin), paint schemes are revolving back to the basics. Solid colors, subtle fades and even some retro schemes. Smooth, attention to detail is in – loud, multi-colors are out.

That’s just my opinion on the subject. You of course, are welcome to yours. :drink:

-They've got enough room for guests, lol. I try and squat there whenever I can get out of the office. Hopefully I'll see you around FTL sometime. I'd love to meet Jason and see your old boat over the Christmas holidays; I'll be there for a week or so...
