The 525 TS Top Guns will run upper 80's with ease, and some have hit 90. I'm definitely not trying to argue at all, but that boat will definitely run in the low to mid 90's with those Zul 650's.
I can confirm this, because I had the EXACT same boat, drive/cabin setup, & engines in my TS Gun as Rice Hauler does, and mine ran 92-93mph everytime I wanted to do it:

I just had some labbed Mercury props on mine, so a nice set of Herings would very likely squeeze a couple of more mph out of it. Those engines actually make 650 on the dyno, but 625 at the prop:

Yeah, that guy LIED to you big time it sounds like. The TS hull is completely different than the straight bottom.
