Also saw your boat at the show. Simply stunning. Nice job. Love the Headset addition and the painted engine compartment with the awesome lighting. Glad there are other red 39's out there! good luck.

Thx man. Enjoyed meeting you as well. We are definitely planning on the JOTJ Poker Run . Last time we went your way we had a blast. Will work on trip details with Linster. Primary issue is transportation, got several months to work this out though.

Can't wait to see your rocket ship.

Take care

Gary

RedMatter, is your avatar your boat? If so, I believe it was on the cover of the last Smokin magazine. Clearly I like it!

Always wanted a Cigarette, fell in love with the 39 Unlimited when we saw the Cigarette display at the Key West Worlds in 2008. It took a while for buy-in on the "bigger boat, smaller house" theory. :drink:

Yes, my boat is the red '39 on last issue of Smokin. The following pictures were done in Miami when testing last year for the Smokin issue. (The Speaker grills and seat bases ended up billet..but not at this stage)

Yes, gotta love cigs...glad the "bigger boat, smaller house" theory." is working!!

39 Unlimited 02-27-2011 03:16 PM

Now that's a wow!

RedMatter 02-27-2011 03:50 PM

Thanks. It's really a great boat. Really love it but had to start another Dream Boat Update thread as II for my new Cig currently on order. Thanks to the guys at Cigarette Racing, Mercury Racing and Legend Marine...a cool idea that started at the Miami show is becoming reality really fast.

It's all on the other thread.

Dream Boat thread closing comments:

After 40 years of dreaming and 6 months of executing, our Dream Boat project culminated last Friday with delivery at Grove Harbour Marine in Coconut Grove, Florida. The entire process from start to finish was outstanding. Cigarette Racing is as advertised a true “World Class” company. Although it’s sad commentary, not many companies’ today actually measure up to their press clippings, Cigarette certainly did. Vic, Hector, Bud, Skip and David Woods you guys are a class act!

I also want to thank everyone that followed this thread. Your suggestions and positive comments kept us in the navigation channel or as I learned Friday the pink line. We definitely felt the camaraderie consistent with a proud/loyal family.

This will be my last Dream Boat thread update but most certainly not my last Cigarette post. I will closely follow the Dream Boat II threaded as Redmatter’s new boat should be the fastest 39 Top Gun ever built.

We are planning on hitting the Poker Run circuit this summer and hope to meet many of you there.

Thanks again for the support!

Cheers :drink:

The boat turned out amazing. Great interior color! I'm glad it was an easy working with Cigarette.

This has been a great thread, but you do need 1 more update.....the numbers! Curious to see how much speed the 6's scrubbed.

6's are faster than NXT's if that's what your asking.

Congrats! Enjoy the summer!!!

As I understand it the sixes are lowers only; still using an NXT tranny and gimbal; is this correct?
