90 MPH listed in Classifieds

Thanks Rob, Doug has the fifth boat. You are correct, there were only 5 made. I have a picture of my boat and Carl's side by side at Tommy's shop a couple of years ago....what are the chances of that????? I can't seem to post pictures anymore otherwise I'd post it. How's that Tiger doing? Did you and Dave run to Bimini this year?

RG, the rear has a narrow bench seat where the passengers can sit down. I took the bench out to give more room to move back there, the cushions are still on the back and sides though. I have the bench seat and the brackets in the garage.
Rob is correct, the boats at Cumberland were not 90 MPH models

Frank,
While the boat might be rare, I would basically agree with the others that say you're likely going to sit on it a very long time waiting for your number/buyer.
In the mean time I would highly suggest that you review your listing and include details on the mechanicals. If the boat runs 110, that's damn impressive for a non-stepped old 38 TG.
I would also get the interior back together with updated pics ASAP. Your listing does not include the condition of everything either. At the asking price, one would assume everthing is a 10, but tell us this if so.
Lastly, if you're going to try to fetch $95k for an old flat bottom boat, at least toss the old dog a bone and throw in the trailer! It's hard enough finding a cash buyer in this market looking for a top dollar flat bottom cig, but to find a buyer that doesn't want or need a trailer too (or is ready to drop down another $10k for a trailer on top of the asking price)???
Just some suggestions. Best of luck with the sale!

SS, thanks for the thoughts, they are well taken, I will update the pictures when I have the cabin vinyl installed. The boat is turn key with low hours on the engines (approx. 15) and very low hours (approx 5) on the drives from full re-builds. Oil has been changed every 10-15 hours on the engines. The boat will be buffed and waxed as part of the deal so the owner takes it with new wax. All the internals are hi-performance forged internals with aluminum blower pistons and roller cams....the engines were built to turn over 7,000 rpm for safety and reliability, the carbs have been recently re-built, and new back up electric fuel pumps were installed at that time. Guages include knock sensors for extra precaution....I haven't spared on the safety parts for these motors.
As I said before, I am negotiable, but until someone shows me a recent sale of a boat that is comparable to mine, truly comparable to mine, that is much lower than my asking price, then I think that the asking price is in line with what I have seen on the market. Everyone on this board that isn't in the market to buy a boat or enter serious negotiations has an opinion, and you know what they say about opinions.......
however, I have a boat on the market, and will deal with anyone that is seriously interested in buying a boat like mine,..... If low '90s fiberglass side by side boats with TRS or bravos and smaller/lower performance engines are listed in the $70-$90 price range, how do you justify making a general statement that my asking price is out of line????? Sorry, but I just don't get it. I'm not testing the market, I need to sell the boat, but I am not going to get into general justification discussions with hull kickers on this board who believe they may be experts on setting prices on performance boats on the market. You all are entitled to your opinions and I respect that but, most respectfully, the only person's opinion that I will seriously consider is anyone that contacts me with a true and sincere interest in buying my boat. At that point, I will work with them as best I can to an end of making a reasonable deal and getting the boat to another home.

I totally agree with thedonz...
I have just bought a 90 topgun fiberglass side by side with new 2008 konrad drives and all new interior and exterior vinyl for 85000.....and after 6 month with the boat, i ve seen that the structure was dead, so 25000 more to redo and reinforce the boat......so if a had seen this add before, for sure for 95000 it is a very good deal for a kevlar staggered boat..........

Frank I don't think anybody is trying to offend you but comparables aside the market is soft and a quick sale puts you at a disadvantage, A friend of mine just bought a staggered cig #6 drive 2000's vintage boat with twin 1150 Zuls for less than $140k . I believe it is an epoxy boat . So $ 95k for your 92 vintage will pose some challenges. Good luck with the sale. If I didn't already own a flat deck I would be looking at your boat.

Frank -
I didnt look to see if you did, but I recommend that you also advertise it worldwide like on Yacht World as there is still money oversea's. I'd hate to see it leave the US though !
