Default top fish top end

just saw this video of a new 39 on youtube, beautiful boat (looks like quad merc 350's). in the video it claims they ran 77.8 knots at 6200rpm (translates to 89.5 mph). can that be?? seems like a really impressive speed for a CC with a half cabin

I bet it runs 77.8mph not knots. A 38 Fountain CC with quad 300 Verados, juiced a bit, runs slightly over 80 and is a much faster boat than the Cig. Nice running boats though. Been on one with quad 300Xs's.

I was in Derek's with the 4-350's last year in Islamorada and we were running 75'ish in 2-3's...the 78mph top end sounds right. Al I can say is you better have a good grip when the sticks are thrown forward or you'll be on your azz in a hurry.

I heard that from Bud, he told me they accelerate so Hard with the quad 350's. Sick boat!

I remember running next to you guys on the way home from the shootout last year. It was pretty funny to look to my starboard and see the "watch your back" super v boat hardly able to keep the drive in the water and then look to my port and see you guys with what looked like 20 people on board.

My wife actually commented on how well the cig was balanced and ran. She did mention the fact that you guys probably didn't have a 3 year old asleep on the back bench like we did LOL..

Thanks for waiting up for us..
